August was my last post, eh? Shame on me. 2009 ended up being a rough year for a lot of people, I’m glad it’s over. I’m ready to make the most of 2010 and I’m starting it off with a new design: Mrrrphmrrf Cowl.

I see couture knitwear and while yes, it is someone’s work of art, I also can’t help but think what a waste of good wool (or cashmere, alpaca, silk…). I like functional, wearable art. This cowl works for me.

I really like that cowl–it’s so warm looking. I’ve never made one before, but would like to in the future. I’m keeping a mental note about your pattern.
I like your cowl, you’re right it looks wearable and couture-like. I find your remark about outrageous couture a bit strange, like you say it is somone’s work, but by making you’re own pattern and selling it, aren’t you doing the same? Or were you actually talking about stuff that you can’t wear at all? I cannot really place your comment and I keep wondering, please don’t take it the wrong way.
I was speaking of the items that can’t even be worn except for on a catwalk. Like I said, I saw something extreme and non-functional, but there was potential so I made it happen.
